What is Going on?

The oil countries are transferring out our wealth. Soon we will be just another insignificant nation. There are many combined reasons for the rise of oil prices. What we know for sure is that oil exporting countries are the only winners (beneficiaries from high oil prices) and everyone else is a looser, including us. We are counting on you to help us help our nation - The US.

What you can do:

Our nation is a major food exporter. Our nation exports food at dirt cheap prices in comparison to oil. We can change this and compete against the OPEC nations head-on and we can win because we hold the most essential resource, food. We need to convince our legislators to introduce export tax in order to save the US.

Please call your legislators and tell them you need them to take an action - refer them to this website.

We should bailout the US auto industry but not the three automakers. Instead of giving the automakers $34B which half of it will cover negative in their books, waste and inefficiencies, we should create a fourth company for less than $10B. This new US company, say "Americar" will start from scratch instead of negative. It can buy the weakest of the three if necessary or buy technology, patents, expertise, consulting services, capital equipment, tools, assembly robots, raw material, excess supplies, etc, etc... from the existing three automakers thus helping them cover some of their shortages and save the auto industry without betting on a loosing horse that is doomed to lose. We should not throw good money after bad money when we can save the auto industry more efficiently and for less. Do not let these flying around $billions diminish the real power of a $billion. If we bail them for $34B we will be contributing to the psychology of diminishing power of $billion and for the next bailout we will start talking about $Trillions bail out plans.

They are calling it "recession" but we think it is a lot worse than that. Unless the US government takes an initiative we are heading into Great Depression II (GDII) and we are going to stay there for a long time. While we are suffering GDII the OPEC nations will continue to prosper even more at our expense. When the barrel of oil went down to $70 per barrel OPEC met to see how they could bring it back to $150 by cutting down on oil supply. Price of oil did not go up as expected because people were too broke and too depressed so they were cutting down on driving and gas usage. OPEC meet again and call for more cut down on oil supply to depress the depressed even further. These are mean spirited meetings by OPEC designed to further depress the already depressed US and the West while they prosper even more. If anyone does not think that these actions by OPEC are mean spirited we would like to hear them.

Q - How do we insure that the oil price will stay at well below $100 per barrel?

A - By tying the food export tax to oil price - low oil price = low food export tax.

OPEC nations want to export oil at high price and import food at low price. Imagine if we form OFDEC and control food prices thru export tax cartel.

The US must join the South American Nations like Argentina and Brazil and charge
export tax on food and drugs before we become a poor nation.

OFDEC is a volunteer project aiming to help create an international cartel led by the US that will help take on OPEC by creating an organization that promotes taxing exported food and drugs. The program is designed to raise the cost of food and drugs that are exported to OPEC nations. The funds collected by the government(s) under OFDEC program can be used to subsidize farming and oil prices. Imagine the crude oil prices rising to $200 or even $300 per barrel while the price per gallon for gas at the gas station can be subsidized to stay around $3.00 per gallon. How is this possible? We start charging these nations export tax on food and drugs that they buy from us, we can then use this money to pay for fuel subsidy and other programs.

What is Export Tax?

An export tax is a tax collected on exported goods. As with tariffs, export taxes can be set on a specific or an ad valorem basis. In the US, export taxes are unconstitutional since the US constitution contains a clause prohibiting their use. This was imposed due to the concerns of Southern cotton producers who exported much of their product to England and France.

However, many other countries employ export taxes. For example, Indonesia applies taxes on palm oil exports; Madagascar applies them on vanilla, coffee, pepper and cloves; Russia uses export taxes on petroleum, while Brazil imposed a 40% export tax on sugar in 1996. In December 1995 the EU imposed a $32 per ton export tax on wheat.

Many South American countries are charging up to 50% tax on export. Why aren't we? Tax export would be a tax paid by other countries including OPEC countries that are importing food from the US. This is how we can bring back some of our wealth that is transferring to OPEC countries.

�No Tax or Duty shall be laid on Articles exported from any State.� US Constitution.

Obviously, this means that the US Constitution has to be amended in order to pave the road for food and drugs export tax that is needed to keep OPEC in check. The tax on export prohibition clause must be removed. We encourage you to contact your Sate Senator and ask him or her to introduce a new bill that will remove the export tax restriction clause that is currently in the US Constitution. Such a bill will be a prelude to introducing Tax on Export as a tool that is needed to prevent the OPEC nations from transferring the US and other neighboring nations wealth by increasing the cost of crude oil without any limit or concerns. Export Tax will be imposed on export to OPEC nations to counter the crude oil price increase and to pay for fuel subsidy; meaning, we maybe willing to pay $200 or ever $300 per barrel provided that we are charging them enough tax on our exported food, drugs and others to compensate for the price increase. The Senator that will introduce this needed new bill to remove the export tax restriction clause from the US constitution will earn the honor to name the bill or have the bill named after the senator who will introduce it. President Bush visits Saudi King

On May 15, 2008 when President Bush visited Saudi's King Abdullah, President Bush pleaded (begged) King Abdullah to increase oil production to help stabilize oil prices. King Abdullah turned down our President's plea - We can only hope that Future US Presidents will remember this and turn down King Abdullah when he begs the future US President to increase food production and food export to keep food prices low.

International Food Price

Should we favor food prices Increase?

The short answer is yes because we are food exporters just like oil exporters favor high oil prices.

The long answer is food prices will have to go up domestically before they can go up Internationally. Unless we have a very high export tax (75 to 150%) international food prices are related to domestic food prices. Now lets illustrate this, suppose a 100 pound sack of rice is domestically sold at $25.00. An OPEC nation is selling us a barrel of oil for $150.00 and buying six sacks of rice (150 / 25 = 6). Now suppose we raise the price of sack of rice to to $50 or even $75.00, sure it would cost the American consumer more money at $75 but this money is going to domestic producers who will pay tax, hire people, spend it or invest it in the US. Now an OPEC nation gets only two sacks of rice for the barrel of oil ($150 / $75 = 2) or they have to sell three barrels of oil to buy the six sacks of rice (6 X $75 = $450). It is as if we were exchanging oil barrels for 100 pound rice sacks and if they raise the price of their oil (regardless of the reasons for oil price increase) shouldn't we raise the price of rice to keep the exchange more fair? This is why we need to favor both high food prices and high export tax to pump some revenues into our nation's economy which is struggling with trade deficit and high oil prices Something has got to give. We have to do what we have to or go broke.
Based on the current crude oil prices (about $140.00 per barrel) food in the world is sold dirt cheap or about 10% of what it should be. Food prices should rise to about 1,000% or ten times higher than it is sold today within the next five years (by 2013).

WTO vs. OPEC

Who can take on OPEC? The WTO is unable to keep OPEC fair and honest and OPEC is taking advantage of the world. It is time for a new international organization to challenge OPEC. It is time for the US to take the lead on this, act like a leader and form a new international organization that is better suited to take on OPEC. OPEC will not do anything to lower oil prices for its job is to keep them high and even higher if or when possible. This is why the US needs to create a new international organization and perhaps call it OFDEC (Organization for Food and Drug Exporting Countries). The job of OFDEC should be specifically to keep OPEC fair and honest. Oil is not the only crucial resource the world needs. The world needs food and drugs more crucially than they need oil. The world can survive without oil albeit with difficulty. The world will starve and die without food. Food is dirt cheap when compared to oil. We need to change this unfairness and to do that we will need an organization like OFDEC to set fair tariffs on food and drugs export that will cut into OPEC�s skyrocketing prices. Only an organization like OFDEC can keep OPEC from pushing the oil prices upwards with no limit.


It is the Energy Stupid! And we are out of it. If we don't start drilling, building nuclear plants, building wind turbine electricity generators, solar panels, hybrid cars, corn based ethanol, we are the endangered spicy. We are transferring out our wealth into the OPEC nations. We will soon be a poor nation like Brazil and Argentina.

We need to allocate 90% of our corn production to produce ethanol fuel. It reduces our demand for fuel slightly and increases the food prices for grain and cattle or meat by creating a needed shortage to help raise food prices that need to catch up to crude oil. Based on crude oil prices food prices need to go up 1000% or ten times what they are today over the next three to five years.
Kudos to Germany for ending the milk subsidy. Milk production in Germany will decline slightly and the price of milk will get closer to gas prices. Gas in Germany is a lot more expensive than milk.
Oil Vs. Biofuel In the old days, American farmers were paid not to grow surplus that could reduce crop prices. Today, we have discovered a new Gold - Corn based Ethanol. We no longer have to pay farmers not grow crops. Today, we can pay them to produce even more corn that will reduce our dependence on foreign oil. And if this creates a grain shortage it should be a welcome thing since the US can be number one grain exporter. America cannot shoulder alone the responsibility of feeding the world at our expense. Let the rich OPEC countries buy our grain and feed their neighbors. The oil rich countries are making more money than they know what to do with it all - they are wasting it on senseless projects while they let their neighboring countries starve. Its time for them to bear some of the responsibility of feeding their own neighbors. Unless the US increases corn production and allocates 90% of it for biofuel the US will become a poor and insignificant nation within a decade or two as the OPEC countries continue to transfer out our wealth.
